Notes by yeyette on Saturday, October 31st, 2015 under Perth

Standard Post with ImageThere are a lot of things to do and see in Perth (in no particular order). You cannot get bored in this quiet and peaceful (yet expensive) city of Western Australia. There is a free bus ride in Perth called CAT operated by Transperth. CAT has four routes which has four different colours as well. Blue, red, green and yellow CAT route. You can hop on and hop off in these buses and have fun getting lost but find treasure in your camera. Perth bus fare is calculated per zone which range from AUD3.00 to AUD12.00, depending on where you…more

Notes by traveldiary007 on Tuesday, November 19th, 2013 under Perth

Standard Post with ImageOur flight back to Singapore is 5:55PM so we still have time to go around near the hotel.  We decided to go to Hillary's Harbour, which is a 20 minutes bus ride from our hotel.  We check out early and leave our things to the reception area. I took a picture before we leave our room. The pool outside is closed for renovation: The hotel, again: The hang-over bus: The Hillary's Harbour: A line of different yachts, choose one! Breakwater at Hillary's Harbour: After at Hillary's, we went back directly to the hotel and our taxi was waiting there for…more

Notes by traveldiary007 on Sunday, October 27th, 2013 under Perth

Standard Post with ImageI immediately called the tour agency when I woke up and they told me that they will check the car.  The receptionist called me back at the hotel and asked some information regarding my phone.  Like what type of phone and the color.  Of course I was able to answer and she smiled over the phone and said, "That's an easy one."   She told me that I can pick it up anytime.  So Jill and I decided to go back there (of course), and walk around.  We also decided to visit the Church. My future wardrobe: The Jetty: The…more

Day 4: Whole Day Pinnacle Tour

Notes by traveldiary007 on Sunday, October 27th, 2013 under Perth

Standard Post with ImageThe receptionist told us that the manager will fetch us from our hotel at exactly 7:10AM.  We woke up at 6:30 and I took the shower first while Jill sipping a cup of coffee.  We went down at 7:25 (we were 10 minutes late) and the manager was waiting downstairs, calling somebody over the phone.  We apologised that we were late and she said it's okay, but then the normal time will be 10 minutes earlier, not 10 minutes late.  I want to laugh but Jill kept silent, long faced, hahahaha. She send us to the jetty because all the…more

Day 3: Fremantle

Notes by traveldiary007 on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 under Perth

Standard Post with ImageWe decided to go to Fremantle since we have nothing to do.  We took the bus from the hotel because we were late for our hotel bus to Wellington Station.  There's a bus stop just opposite to the hotel.  Then, we took a train from Perth to Fremantle.  The train costs us 4.20AUD for 2 zones (it has around 11 stops) and it only took 16 minutes ride to Fremantle. The train station: When you arrived in Fremantle, there are still cat buses that will take you everywhere for free around the area.  We hop on the blue cat for…more

Day 2: Perth City Proper

Notes by traveldiary007 on Saturday, September 21st, 2013 under Perth

Standard Post with ImageThe hotel has a free shuttle bus to the city proper but not in the airport. The driver sent us to the city at 11AM. While in the highway, I asked one of the hotel guests how much he paid for the taxi from the airport to the hotel. He said that he has a friend who fetch him so I asked the driver how much is the fare. He asked me back how much we paid. I told him the amount and he said it was fair enough. The normal price is 50 to 60AUD. Wow! I never thought…more
